Creel Pump designs and builds custom axial flow pumps to meet the specific demands of each project. Our pumps range in size from 6 inches to 60 inches and are capable of handling flows from approximately 500 to 60,000 gallons per minute, depending on system configuration and application.

Axial flow pumps are best suited for high-volume, low-head applications, making them a proven solution for flood control, drainage, irrigation, and stormwater management.

Typical Performance & Design Considerations

While every system is custom-engineered, axial flow pump stations are commonly designed within the following general parameters:

  • Flow Capacity: Hundreds to tens of thousands of gallons per minute

  • Total Dynamic Head (TDH): Typically low head conditions, often in the single-digit to low-teens range

  • Operation: Continuous or intermittent duty depending on application

Pump selection and configuration are driven by site conditions, intake geometry, discharge requirements, and operational expectations.

Pump Sizes & Configurations

Creel Pump axial flow systems can be configured to suit a wide range of station layouts and site constraints, including:

  • Vertical or angled pump installations

  • Single or multiple pump stations

  • Open intake or structure-mounted designs

  • New stations or retrofit installations

Each pump is built to match the specific hydraulic and structural needs of the project.

Materials & Construction Options

Axial flow pumps are fabricated using materials selected for durability and service life in demanding environments, including:

  • Carbon steel and stainless steel options

  • Protective coatings for corrosion resistance

  • Custom shafting, bearings, and impeller designs

Material selection is based on water conditions, operating environment, and expected service demands.

Drive & Power Configurations

Creel Pump axial flow pumps are compatible with a variety of power and drive arrangements, including:

  • Electric motor–driven systems

  • Diesel engine–driven systems

  • Belt-drive configurations

  • Right-angle gear drive systems

  • Combination belt-to-gear drive layouts

Drive selection is based on flow requirements, available power, speed control needs, and site preferences.

Service, Repair & Upgrades

In addition to building new axial flow pumps, Creel Pump provides continued service, repair, and upgrade support for:

  • Creel Pump axial flow systems

  • Existing axial flow pumps from other manufacturers

This includes inspections, mechanical repairs, component upgrades, and performance improvements to extend equipment life and improve reliability.

"Once we installed Creel Pump's solutions, it was a game-changer. Knowing that I have their reliable pumps and excellent support has given me peace of mind. The results have been great; the quality of their work is amazing."
