Our smaller foam fractionator, the Protos uses the A.G.I.F. (Aspirated Gas Injected Flotation) process to remove unwanted particles from the water. The Protos aspirates and injects air or gas in the water, causing turbulence to remove pollutants like bacteria, algae, chemicals, oil, grease, colloids, and both organic and inorganic material.
The Protos system can be used for BOD and COD reduction as well as preventing toxic slag or inhibitory particles from taking up residence. Water capacity for the Protos ranges from 10 to 18 cubic meter/hour. In addition, the system has a variable pressure vessel with an adjustable air capacity. Gas or liquid including oxygen, ozone, carbon dioxide, flocculants can be injected into the system through saturation or induction.
